Some time ago my affairs were so disrupted that the more I tried to solve them, the more confused and apparently hopeless they became. In addition, I was suffering from acute stomach and ear trouble and from severe irritation all over my body. I received no help from the doctor to whom I went for help; so finally I resolved to seek God's help.
On arrival in England from my own country, Nigeria, I was introduced to Christian Science by a countryman. I attended some services in various Churches of Christ, Scientist, and read the chapter on Prayer in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. From it I gathered that God is good and that man, made in His image and likeness, has all real things to enjoy, but nothing to suffer or lack.
On being told of the existence of practitioners, whose work is to bring healing to individuals receptive to the truth, I went to a Reading Room. And from The Christian Science journal I found the name of a local practitioner to whom I went.
