The question of the possibility of miracles has, for centuries, been plaguing the unbelieving world and inspiring the Christian believer.

People who find it hard to arouse and put into operation the elements of Christian faith find it hard to believe in miracles. They do not happen today, they say. This is a quite loose statement, because miracles are happening all around us.
