It is with deep gratitude that I submit this testimony, hoping it will help others as I have been helped from reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals. When this Science was presented to me I was physically weak, but Christian Science has given me health and strength.

I had always wanted to understand God. As a child I attended an orthodox Sunday School regularly, but I did not gain an understanding of what God is. When Christian Science came to me I was ready for it. It was presented to me after one of my children who had been very ill had passed on in spite of the best medical attention. This loss added to my sense of confusion concerning God; because, I reasoned, if He gave us our children and then took them away, as I then believed, He was unjust.

Christian Science made God clear to me and brought me happiness. After I had studied this Science for a while my second child became ill, and I was overtaken with a great fear. Because of my fear a doctor was called. When I realized that he did not know what to prescribe for the case, I kindly-asked him not to call again.
