AWARENESS OF THE SPIRITUAL UNIVERSE
"God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. ... Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them" (Gen. 1:31;51;2:1). The universe of Spirit is ever present, harmonious, and intact. It is the realm of reality, in which all is entirely spiritual, perfect, and under the complete control of the one Mind. Nothing can be added to it, neither can anything be taken from it, for God governs His universe, including man, in perfect harmony.
However, one may ask: "But what about this inharmonious experience of which I seem to be conscious and which causes me so much anguish? How can I become aware of the spiritual universe when the human existence appears to be so discordant?"
It may be stated here that mankind do not as a rule maintain an awareness of the ever-present spiritual universe. They are likely to accept as reality a material universe separate from Spirit, God, and another power opposed to God which supposedly produces material birth, maturity, decay, sin, sickness, and death.
