We are children of God and are dependent upon Him. Only God can give His kingdom upon the earth, but God will not give it unless we allow ourselves to be used for His purposes.

Despite all our clamor to be more free through less work, none of us will begin to live truly until we have submerged ourselves in a cause which makes everlasting demands upon us. If what we are asked to do is of a passing matter, the emptiness returns. But to be captured by a vision of a heavenly kingdom on earth will cast out the demon of futility.
