ACTING WITH OUR WHOLE HEART

One of the first lessons to be learned in Christian Science is that thought must be spiritualized. This Science teaches that a sense of sin, sickness, and death can be found only in the human mind. The spiritualization of thought and the mental activity of obedience to Spirit, God, require a heart wholly devoted to the purpose of expressing spiritual perfection.

Grand and glorious changes are brought about in the human experience when one begins to express spiritual consciousness. He no longer has a feeling of being alone and bewildered, controlled by personal sense. He exercises the ability to resist sense testimony and to work from the basis of perfection, not up to it.

If one's state of consciousness is in need of healing, he believes he possesses a sick, mortal body. The mortal body is believed to be a material object. Spiritualizing thought, the student of Christian Science exchanges the object of false belief for the body of right ideas, knowing that this activity heals without fail, even as light dispels darkness.
