CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

[Of Special Interest to Children]

A True soldier is someone who is brave, who is obedient to commands, and who will fight to defend his country. A Christian soldier is one who has learned to put his trust in God and not to be afraid. He knows that God's power is the only power there is. He is always obedient to God's commands.

These commands are given in the Bible. For instance, God commanded (Ex. 20:3), "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." And Christ Jesus said (John 13: 34), "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another."

Christian soldiers are always ready to stand for the right; that is, they realize the truth, no matter how hard it may seem to do this. They know that "Truth is always the victor," as Mary Baker Eddy says on page 380 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
