"BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS"

MOST human beings at some time in their experience feel that their peace and happiness have been disturbed or destroyed by the thoughts and actions of others, by individuals expressing selfishness, temper, injustice, domination, ingratitude, and other discordant qualities. But to every discordant situation we can bring the comforting truth, revealed by Christian Science, which frees us from these discords and restores the joy and peace rightfully belonging to each one of us.

This restoration comes not from our trying to correct another individual, but from gaining a clearer understanding of God, who is Love, and of the real man, who is the image and likeness of perfect Love, and then expressing this clearer concept of Love in our thoughts and actions.

The place where this change from inharmony to harmony takes place is in our own thinking. What a comforting thought this is! Our happiness, our peace, our joy, are not at the mercy of the whims and imperfections of mortals, but rather are dependent upon our own right thinking and spiritual understanding.
