ASSURANCE

A rich heritage would be my own
If I were the loved daughter
Of a king;
I should not need to see the gold
Or touch the jewels
In the coffers of the kingdom,
But ever should be aware
Of my father's riches
And of his tender, constant care.

In God's ever-present kingdom
A spiritual heritage is my own
As His beloved heir;
So, if there be clamor
For outward sign,
My prayer
Is to remember
The Father's deep assurance,
"All that I have Is thine."
