Signs of the Times

Rev. Robert Bizzaro in the Citizen and Chronicle Cranford, New Jersey

The greater part of our Lord's ministry was spent healing those who were ill in body, mind and soul. This same healing ministry was handed on by our Lord to His Church here on earth. It is a well-known fact that during the early years of Christianity the churches were temples of healing....

Thanks be to God, many Christians are again taking seriously the order given by St. James in the fifth chapter of his Epistle: "Is an sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
