About eight years ago I experienced a healing of a small growth which appeared on my nose and which grew progressively worse over a period of many years. It was very conspicuous and, being right on the end of the nose, was most annoying. When remarks as to the advisability of having the growth removed were made by others, even by strangers seated next to me on trolley cars and in restaurants, I decided to have the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner, who lived in a distant city.

In less than three weeks the growth fell off without leaving a scar or blemish. When I left home one morning it was there; and when I arrived at the school where I taught and looked in the mirror, it was gone. I was so humbly grateful to God, to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and to the practitioner that tears of gratitude filled my eyes.

I felt I was standing on holy ground. Truly it was a proof of the Scriptural passage (Hebr. 4: 12), "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword."
