THE WAY TO ENDURING SATISFACTION
A basic desire of humanity is to find enduring satisfaction. This is often sought in ways which prove disappointing, for humanity has not learned to look for it in the only place where it may really be found, namely in a growing understanding of God and of man's inseparability from Him as His reflection.
Through the study of Christian Science, we are given a divinely scientific explanation of God as infinite Spirit, the only creator, and of His perfect creation, man and the universe. We learn that true satisfaction is gained only as we realize the enduring nature of all that is spiritual and Godlike and the transitory nature of all material conditions.
The writer had always had, even from childhood, a deep yearning for a satisfactory answer to the challenging questions about life as experienced here and hereafter. She often pondered the words in the seventeenth Psalm (verse 15), "I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness."
