Progress Through Relocation

Many of our Christian Science Reading Rooms have had happy and profitable experiences when, after prayerful, earnest effort on the part of the members, relocation has proved advisable and possible.

A church in Switzerland reports: For many years our Reading Room was located on the third floor of a business house in a very active section of the city. We came to realize that, although our population was growing, the number of visitors to our Reading Room was not increasing. Should we move? The members of our church were asked to work for spiritual guidance. Of one thing we were certain. If a change was made, only a ground-floor location would be considered. We chose as our leitmotiv the verse from Malachi (3:10) which summons all to bring their tithes into the storehouse.

In a short time we were notified that the owner of the building in which our Reading Room was located needed the entire premises. We continued to turn to God in prayer. The statement of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was recalled with new inspiration, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 494).
