Again and again the testimonies...

Again and again the testimonies in our periodicals give me such cause for rejoicing that I should like to share my experiences. As prisoners of war after World War II, we sometimes had to do hard work. Once in the fall of 1946 when we had to load heavy trunks, I contracted a hernia. I did not report to the camp physician but was on duty every day, regardless of the kind of work we had to do.

The Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, had been my steady companion during the time I was in the army and in the prison camp. I carefully read the chapter entitled "Fruitage" to find healings to help me. I also prayed in the words of the Bible (Ps. 25:4,5): "Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day."
