Good Locations Important
Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, placed on The Mother Church and its branches the responsibility of maintaining Christian Science Reading Rooms. As an activity provided for in her Manual of The Mother Church, she envisioned the importance of the Reading Rooms in extending the healing influence of Christian Science throughout the world.
That she regarded as essential a suitable location for each Reading Room is indicated in Article XXI, Section 1, of the Manual. It is interesting to note that in 1900 a new Reading Room in Boston, established at the request of our Leader, was situated at the corner of two busy intersecting streets, and ever since then the Reading Rooms maintained by The Mother Church have occupied quarters in busy centers of activity.
The Reading Room division of The Mother Church is continuously being informed by branch churches of changes in location of their Reading Rooms, and these changes mean progress for our Cause.
