GOD'S DAY
And
Martha, grieving, said
Of her brother in the tomb,
"I know that he shall rise again ...
At the last day."
But Jesus knew there is no last day.
God's day is now, eternal.
Love is the light thereof;
It needs no other.
No sun rises, and no twilight falls.
In the clear radiance of its changeless noon,
Eyes open to the truth
See Life ever unveiled.
Only believe, the Master said,
And thou shalt see.
He called his friend by name,
And Lazarus came forth.
