It is now nearly thirty years since Christian Science came into my life, and I should like to give thanks for some of the many benefits experienced. On two occasions while listening to a Christian Science lecture I was healed. The first case was that of a serious cold, and the other one was that of a painful condition of the arm.

The cold had suddenly developed after I had decided to attend a Christian Science lecture in the evening. In spite of inclement weather and the distance I had to travel, I was at the lecture. While listening, I suddenly saw that the mortal sense of body is nothing more than dust and that it is impossible for intelligence to be in dust. And with that realization the cold was instantaneously healed.

The arm trouble was of longer duration. A few months after World War II, while still working in London finishing off some war work, I found that my arm was becoming increasingly painful and stiff until at last I found it impossible to lift the arm even to the shoulder. I did not mention the condition to anyone, but worked to know my right to freedom. Finally, while listening to a Christian Science lecture, I saw very clearly that I expressed complete perfection because of my unity, or oneness, with God; and immediately all fear left me, and in a few days I was completely healed.
