Some years ago I watched a business associate maintain poise and confidence during a severe financial readjustment in her life. Upon inquiry as to how she did it, I was told about Christian Science for the first time. Later I learned that another person whom I admired was a Christian Scientist. The lives of these two individuals gave me a sincere desire to know something about such a practical religion.

Through a business contact, I was privileged to meet a practitioner who very patiently answered my many questions about Christian Science. I was much interested in the information provided. Soon the opportunity presented itself to see the power of this truth in action.

A member of our family suddenly developed double mastoiditis. The physician told me that the patient would probably have a hearing defect for life. He also said that her condition was then so serious that he was afraid to operate. "Man's extremity" proved to be "God's opportunity." I called the practitioner mentioned above, and within a very days the healing was complete in every respect.
