Our Master, Christ Jesus, said (John 14:16), "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." Christian Science is the Comforter, available to all who accept and utilize its divine teachings. With joy and gratitude, I testify to its provability.

Before I took up the study of Science, I had received much medical treatment, but like the woman in the Bible narrative, I "was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse" (Mark 5:26). The trouble stemmed from a severe digestive obstruction, which, in turn, set up complications. Eventually I became very weak and depressed.

One day I decided to try Christian Science, for I had noticed that those who practiced this way of Life looked very happy and cheerful. I took up the study of this Science, and after a little while I began to see the light of Truth. In Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy writes (Pref., p. vii): "The time for thinkers has come. Truth, independent of doctrines and timehonored systems, knocks at the portal of humanity."
