Many years ago my mother was healed of a severe physical difficulty through the application of the truths of Christian Science. Consequently I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and I have had many healings and blessings. Since many testimonies in our periodicals have proved helpful to me, I wish to submit my expression of thanks for Christian Science, hoping it will benefit others.

Last fall on a cold, damp day, I was hanging up clothes outdoors. When I came into the house, I could not lift one of my arms. I immediately turned my thoughts to God and realized that I was in reality dwelling in the consciousness of Love's pure being, where no false belief has existence. Each time the manifestation of pain appeared, I held firmly to this truth. Within a short time I was free and have been ever since.

One night as I retired I felt an uncomfortable pain around the heart. I thought of the passage in Science and Health where Mary Baker Eddy writes (pp. 427, 428), "Thought will waken from its own material declaration, 'I am dead,' to catch this trumpet-word of Truth, 'There is no death, no inaction, diseased action, overaction, nor reaction.' " I held to that and to the realization that God is my Life and that He controls all action. I was quickly freed of the difficulty, and it has never returned.
