I am very grateful that I have found Christian Science, and I should like to share my testimony with others. For many years, when I was a young girl, I was a slave to sickness. A medical examination, including the taking of X-ray pictures, showed that I was suffering from a fallen stomach.

Since I knew nothing then about Christian Science, I submitted to an operation. However, my condition did not improve. I was very depressed, and my relatives were greatly concerned. The doctors prescribed a change of climate, and with a heavy heart I went to the Swiss mountains to seek recovery.

The very first day, while walking along the edge of a forest, I met a woman. We got into conversation, and she told me that she was studying Christian Science. She talked to me at length of God and told me of her healings. I felt uplifted by this experience, which proved the Psalmist's words to be true (Ps. 145:18), "The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him."
