Christian Science has touched many details of my life and brought into my experience many blessings of the kind that only God can give. In the Bible we read (Ps. 107:2), "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy." My redemption has been great. Sickness has given way to health, lack to abundance, and the purification of sense and self has brought a better sense of love, companionship, and home.

My mother took up the study of Christian Science when I was still a child; so I had the wonderful opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for a few years. However, it was not until after I was married and had the responsibility of two stepchildren and two of my own children that I seriously studied and applied Christian Science.

After the birth of our second child, I suffered from severe shock and a nervous breakdown, and I was aware of an internal disorder. I had gained enough in the Christian Science Sunday School to know that problems are not physical but mental; so I realized that medical help had nothing to offer, though my husband pleaded with me many times to have medical attention.
