About 1908 I was asked to try...
About 1908 I was asked to try Christian Science for chronic sick headaches, which I believed I had inherited. A practitioner worked prayerfully for me, and I was healed. I was so grateful for this healing.
Later, when I had constipation and hemorrhoids, I again sought help from a practitioner. I was asked to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and to keep in thought Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 283), "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." Both difficulties were quickly healed.
I was also healed of malaria, but this healing did not come so quickly. It took more study and consecration because the disease kept recurring. Then one day it dawned on me that when God heals us, the healing is permanent. I was so uplifted, happy, and grateful. That was twenty-five years ago, and I have had no more malaria.
