For more than fifty years Christian Science has met my every need, physically and financially, and I am truly grateful for the untiring and practical help of Christian Science practitioners.

One winter day in 1924 the car in which I was riding was hit by a streetcar. I was taken to a hospital in an unconscious condition. When my wife was notified, she called a Christian Science practitioner and then came to the hospital. The doctors told her that among other injuries I had a concussion of the brain and a fractured skull. They had very little hope of my regaining consciousness.

After several hours of trying without success to revive me, they prepared to make a final attempt. My wife, who had been spending this time studying the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, called the practitioner again. In practically no time I turned over and said, "What do you think you are going to do?" The doctors were greatly surprised, as this was the first favorable sign I had shown for more than six hours.
