The study of Christian Science has brought harmony into my home, established me in my chosen profession, changed lack into plenty, and grief into joy.

For many years I suffered from attacks of oak poisoning. I had Christian Science treatment, but the fear of the condition persisted. About five years ago I manifested a severe case of poisoning, and my discomfort was great. I called a Christian Science practitioner for help and explained that I was due at a swimming party. Other guests knew I was a Christian Scientist, and I was worried about the unsightliness of the condition. Also the weather was extremely hot and caused further aggravation of the condition.

I do not remember what the practitioner said; I just remember that the fear and discomfort, as well as self-consciousness about my appearance, left me, and I kept my engagement. No one appeared to notice and evidence of inharmony; and the effects of oak poisoning soon vanished.
