I have had many healings in Christian Science. My first one was of chronic asthma and of an allergy to the perfume of gardenias, which had affected my vocal cords. When I smelled the scent of gardenias, I would find myself unable to talk.

Eight years ago I began to study Christian Science, and a short time later I was healed. Some time ago someone gave me gardenias, and I placed them on the table in the dining room, where I kept them for several days, knowing that nothing can harm one's real being. I enjoyed their sweet perfume, and it caused me no difficulty whatever.

I am grateful not only for the healings but for the spiritual understanding that we obtain in studying Christian Science. Earnest adherents of almost every Christian religion read from both Old and New Testaments, but the spiritual meaning of the Bible is not explained in other religions as fully as it is in Christian Science. Studying our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we learn that God is perfect Love and that man, His spiritual image and likeness, cannot express anything but Love.
