For some twenty years I suffered from an organic complaint. About nine years ago this became so aggravated that I consulted a leading English specialist, who recommended an operation. I followed his advice, only to find the same trouble recurring two years later. I underwent a second operation, but the trouble reappeared, accompanied by symptoms of a more serious condition.

Instead of seeking further my healing in matter, I consulted a Christian Science practitioner. I am deeply grateful to this practitioner, who with great patience opened my eyes to the truth.

I perceived that all my troubles were due to errors of thought—resentment, frustration, and false desires. With the aid of the inspired textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I saw that man and the universe are governed wholly by Mind. Within a matter of weeks I was completely healed.

Without Science and Health, together with the help of the practitioner, I might never have attained the vision of Truth or had my eyes opened to the beauty, healing power, and spiritual meaning of the Scriptures.—James Buckland Philips, London, England.
