Of Good Report

Problems and challenges are really opportunities for growth, and our churches and societies are meeting these with the joyous assurance that Truth is mightier than any claim of mortal mind. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 204), "My faith in God and in His followers rests in the fact that He is infinite good, and that He gives His followers opportunity to use their hidden virtues, to put into practice the power which lies concealed in the calm and which storms awaken to vigor and to victory."

A church in Ohio writes of successfully meeting the challenge of un-co-operative neighbors:

"Several years ago we purchased property on which we later erected our present edifice. This property is located in a residential and business neighborhood where home owners maintain an association. When the property was purchased by the church, it was recognized that there was a belief of lawlessness in evidence. Several of the property owners, whose lots adjoin our property, had extended their buildings onto our land.
