The Yeadon Courier
Upper Darby, Pennsylvania (First Church).
Christian Science came to Upper Darby in 1925, when First Church of Christ, Scientist, Upper Darby, was organized and accepted as a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
The first service was held on March 22, in a hall at By wood and Brief Avenues, and the first Sunday School service was conducted in a store at 7040 Bywood Avenue (now Terminal Square). This store building was also the scene of the first Wednesday evening testimony meeting, held on March 25, 1925, and the first Christian Science Reading Room in Upper Darby was housed in the same building.
