IMPROVING "EARTH'S PREPARATORY SCHOOL"

The passing of another calendar year should serve as a reminder to us all to improve our lives in every department. True progress in human affairs, Christian Science makes plain, is gained only through the development of our spiritual senses.

Our innate capacity to understand God can be progressively awakened. As this awakening goes on in human consciousness, the belief of passing time will progressively be overcome. This improvement will go on through all the years until we fully understand the fact that there is in reality no time or materiality, until we are completely conscious of our present real and eternal being in the image and likeness of God.

Human consciousness seems to require constant nudges to grow Spiritward. And as it consents to understand God as All-in-all, as the eternal Father of all creation, and to accept the Christ as the infinite power of God, spiritual growth takes place.
