I am grateful for the many healings...

I am grateful for the many healings and blessings which I have had in Christian Science, grateful because they have proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt that God is the only power, the only cause and creator, "a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).

About three years ago, I found myself struggling with a physical condition which was quite alarming to me. I had become extremely nervous and had difficulty in eating. My lungs were also affected. Being unable to sleep nights, I was constantly fatigued and kept losing weight. I was working in an office at the time, and I had to ask for a leave of absence.

Through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I began to discern that the problem was mental rather than physical. I began to see clearly that it was a danger signal, warming me to stop using mere human will in solving my everyday problems and to let God's plan for me unfold. When I consented to stop outlining willfully, God's plan did unfold. Needless to say, with the relinquishment of human willfulness, the physical problem disappeared, and my healing was complete.
