During the period that our older son, then in the first grade, was out of school with a condition diagnosed by the local health officer as ringworm of the scalp, he found great comfort in the testimonies in the Sentinel. We wish now to add the testimony of his healing in the hope that it will comfort and bless others as we were blessed.

The Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly were a wonderful inspiration to us during this experience. They truly sustained us. One week the lesson included the passage (Eph. 6:11, 12): "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

As these lines were read at the Sunday service in a Church of Christ, Scientist, a feeling of spiritual strength surged through me which enabled me to stand when discouragement tempted. This Scriptural passage also helped in the overcoming of fear of criticism. We learned we were not wrestling against personalities, but against false suggestions. As I got a glimpse of my neighbor as man, made in God's likeness, the criticism ceased, and our son's healing followed.
