VESTED RIGHTS

"Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth" (Rev. 19:6). Since God reigns supreme, since He is omnipotent, as the Revelator's declaration makes plain, man as His expression inherits from Him rights and substantial interests which cannot be alienated or annulled.

Man enjoys rights which are complete and consummated. These rights originate in God and are reflected by man. Man's established and inalienable rights to freedom from bondage of all sorts—from sickness, sin, discord, death—are demonstrated in proportion to an individual's understanding and application of Christian Science, the law of God, good.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 227), "The law of the divine Mind must end human bondage, or mortals will continue unaware of man's inalienable rights and in subjection to hopeless slavery, because some public teachers permit an ignorance of divine power,—an ignorance that is the foundation of continued bondage and of human suffering."
