I should like to submit this testimony in humble and sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science. I am thankful that I had a loving Christian mother who early taught me to trust in God. All my life I had felt a deep desire to understand His Word. Although I had been a member of a Christian church and had read the Bible, I never understood it until it was explained to me in the light of the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, given in Science and Health and in her other writings.

At a time when I was suffering from many evils of wrong thinking and discordant human relationships, I was led to investigate Christian Science. Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 390), "It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and the right understanding of Him restores harmony."

I asked for the help of a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly referred me to the truths of the Holy Bible as revealed by this Science. At first, it all seemed vague, but I persisted until the great truth of God's love and God's allness unfolded to me. Gradually I was reborn in accordance with Jesus' teaching (John 3:3), "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
