I wish to relate one of my early demonstrations in Christian Science. One morning my wife left our home in her car, and I presumed that she was going downtown; but I learned that evening that she had gone alone on one of our regular business trips to distant cities because I had been indisposed.

The next morning I boarded a train for a city about fifteen hundred miles away, since I was going to try to meet my wife, although I was not sure of the route she would take. I requested the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner and went forth with childlike faith, trusting God to guide me and with no thought of failure.

Stepping off the train on my first planned stop, I went to a hotel and inquired whether or not my wife had registered there. As I turned from the desk, I saw her entering the lobby. With no prearrangement, after traveling fifteen hundred miles, we met as casually as though it had all been planned.
