Having spent eighteen years as a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School and having relied only on this healing Science, I feel I have been truly blessed.

One evening I was hit by a car. When I was picked up, I was alert enough to insist upon being taken home instead of to a hospital. The pain in the upper part of the body was severe, and the two police officers who took me home advanced the opinion that some ribs were broken.

A Christian Science practitioner was asked for help and came to me at once. As I sat on the couch listening to the reading of wonderful, comforting, and inspiring words from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the intense fear gradually subsided, and the pain slowly eased. I remember being so grateful to hear the practitioner remind me every few minutes that man is always all right. I was willing to accept that fact, and it was very comforting to be assured of it.
