Words can never properly express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me and my loved ones. I should also like to express sincere gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy, who made it possible for all mankind to gain an understanding of the Bible through the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings.

About nine years ago while traveling with my family and friends, I found myself suffering from food poisoning. I missed the comfort of being at home, but through putting into practice what I knew of Christian Science, I was able to continue my journey for several days without regular food or rest and to do whatever it was necessary for me to do.

While humbly praying for guidance, I was awakened to the fact that one must claim persistently his unity with God. I realized that God is our Father and that God is Mind; that He made man in His image and likeness to evidence Himself. I also realized that Mind must be expressed, not suppressed; then I steadfastly began to affirm my true identity, sonship, and unity with our loving Father and to know that false beliefs have no law, power, or presence to support them.
