I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Ever since 1947, when I learned about the healing power of divine Love, this religion has been the only remedy used by me and mine in times of difficulty. I might relate many healings brought about solely through my reliance on the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy—healings of illness, convulsions, effects of accidents, inharmony, lack, and other difficulties.

One healing which made me take a step forward in Science came after I had suffered for several years from periodic headaches. Every month I would have to stay in bed for several days because of almost unbearable pains in my head and a high fever. Finally I became so weak and depressed that I was no longer interested in anything.

I felt desperate. Therefore I decided to see a Christian Science practitioner. She very patiently and lovingly helped me to uplift my thought, and as I purified my consciousness I understood better the real selfhood of man as created by God. In this way I was able to see the unreality of discordant conditions in my surroundings which had troubled me. One day I was very much surprised to realize that I had not spent a day in bed for more than a month. I was permanently healed.
