I wish to share with others through our periodicals some of the healings I have experienced. I began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, about thirty-two years ago, and I thought it was the most wonderful book I had ever read.

One of my first healings was that of chronic appendicitis. When I felt the pain I would get my textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health, and read until the pain left me. I never really knew when the complete healing took place, but one day I became aware that I had not had the pain for some time, and I thanked God. This healing has been permanent.

My mother was living in our home for a while shortly after I took up the study of Christian Science. She was suffering from erysipelas in a severe form and wanted to go to a hospital. I tried for two days to get her admitted. When she realized that she could not get into the hospital right away, she asked me for help in Science. I gave her a Sentinel to read and went about my household duties, declaring the truth for her. After supper I read to her until bedtime. Then I told her that my work was done, that God had made her perfect and that all she had to do was to accept that truth. By morning she was completely free, and she has never had a return of the difficulty.
