ENDURING SECURITY

The author of Proverbs writes (30:8), "Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me." These words echo the prayer of those who desire to have their daily needs appropriately supplied, and yet who wish to be spared the cares and worries of great wealth as well as the strain and pinch of poverty.

Those who have taken up the study of Christian Science or those who have always known its teachings expect suitable affluence in their lives. They anticipate this as one result of grasping and applying some of the fundamental truths of this Science. Among these truths are the facts that God is good, that He is all-power, that He cares for His children and is able and willing to supply them with an abundance of good at all times.

The acceptance in consciousness of spiritual truths destroys fear, unfolds latent abilities, improves the disposition, and wipes out the specter of lack and inadequacy, whether it be acute or chronic.
