HOW CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALS: January 25, 1958 Issue

[Following is the text of the program of the above title released for broadcast the week end of January 17–19) in the radio series, "How Christian Science Heals," heard internationally over more than 800 stations. RADIO PROGRAM No. 227 - Arthritis Healed Through Prayer

Speaker: In healing through prayer, it's important for us to seek God's help wholeheartedly, to be willing to accept the unlimited good constantly being imparted by divine Love. I'd like you to meet our guest for today, Mrs. Florence Morrison of Baltimore, Maryland.

Mrs. Morrison: For more than four years I had been a semi-invalid with arthritis. I couldn't lift my arms at all and could hardly use my fingers. I could only walk by holding on to things. The doctors said they had done everything for me they possibly could. It didn't seem possible that I could ever be healed. I seemed to be beyond help, that is, human help.

My son and daughter-in-law were Christian Scientists, and I had seen what God's power had done for them in the way of physical healings. But somehow I never got down to studying Christian Science myself, even though my daughter-in-law had given me the textbook, '"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. But now, in my great distress, I was ready to seek God's help. I asked for a Christian Science Quarterly, in which the weekly Lesson-Sermons are given.
