It is with great gratitude that I acknowledge the healing and regenerative power of Christian Science, together with all the blessings it has brought me. The textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, came into our home before the end of the First World War as a result of my husband's search for Truth and a satisfying religion. Although I did not immediately take up the study of Christian Science, I found myself being irresistibly drawn to it.

From the start, our family had proofs of healing. Through the prayerful work of a practitioner I experienced a quick and harmonious childbirth. I was also healed of tonsillitis and of an intestinal difficulty for which I had taken daily some form of material medicine. My husband was healed of lumbago, astigmatism, and the desire for tobacco. Later he experienced in a very short time the healing of a badly fractured ankle.

Children's ailments were rare and were usually quickly overcome, sometimes with the help of a practitioner. On one occasion, while we were on holiday, a child recovered from sunstroke in two days. Protection from accidents has been experienced several times, and homes have been found when we needed them.
