More than thirty years ago Christian Science...

More than thirty years ago Christian Science came into my life. At that time my husband was very ill, and the physicians could promise no hope for his recovery. I prayed for help and for spiritual strength to sustain us.

Some weeks later I was invited to attend a Christian Science church service, but I declined, not knowing what this Science is. Later, however, it came to me that it was the answer to my prayer and the open door to freedom. The following Sunday I attended my first service in a Church of Christ, Scientist. I loved the Bible readings, but did not understand those from the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

The next Wednesday evening I again attended the same church. Later I purchased the textbook, and as I read it and other Christian Science literature, the teachings of Science and Health became clearer to me. The testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals were most comforting and inspiring. A practitioner was called to help my husband, and after five months he was completely healed. Our home was restored to normal, and our hearts rejoiced for what God had done.
