DEMONSTRATING THE TRUE SENSE OF HOME

It is an established fact in Christian Science that the true dwelling place of every man, woman, and child is in God, divine Mind. In reality, we are all His pure ideas, provided with good and living in the harmonious atmosphere of Spirit. This divine dwelling place is heaven, in which there is only the bliss, the purity, the joy, the mental state of being, in which all of God's ideas dwell together in one universal family.

This heavenly home can be enjoyed here and now, individually and collectively, as human consciousness becomes spiritualized through the exercise of the qualities of God in daily living. Mary Baker Eddy tells us (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 100): "Pure humanity, friendship, home, the interchange of love, bring to earth a foretaste of heaven. They unite terrestrial and celestial joys, and crown them with blessings infinite."

In human affairs all true success is achieved by hard work, and in Christian Science we learn that our work is more effective in the measure that it is impelled by the understanding that God, Spirit, is the source of all supply and right activity. To achieve the joy and comfort of a happy home, one must be willing to work for it.
