GOD LOVES ALL

[Of Special Interest to Children]

One of the very first things we learn through Christian Science is that God is Love and that God is loving us all the time. It is a very comforting thought; and how happy we are as our understanding of this truth grows and grows. Jesus demonstrated that God is Love.

Two boys recently had an interesting experience. Bobby and Dave had been given two baby hamsters. Oh, how the boys did enjoy their little animal friends! Hamsters look and act just like baby squirrels, except that they have no long bushy tails. The boys' father built a cage for the hamsters to live in. But most of the time Daisy and Tiny rode around in the boys' shirt pockets, poking their little heads out for a look at the world as they bobbed along.

The boys and the hamsters were as happy together as good friends can be, until one day error threatened to destroy this happiness. One Sunday morning before the boys dressed for Sunday School, the four friends were having a game of hide and seek on the porch. Just as Bobby started to run, Daisy scooted out from under the glider, and he stepped right on her back —hard. Daisy gave one little squeak and lay very still. Bobby started to cry, but Dave, who is two years older, knew just what to do.
