Teen-age Class Finds First Lessons Interesting

[From a teacher in a branch church Sunday School]

Before going to my Sunday School class the first morning after being appointed, I pondered Article XX in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy. In Section 1 of this Article our Leader provides that pupils under twenty years of age may be received in the Sunday School of any Church of Christ, Scientist. The word "received'" came to my attention with new meaning. What a wonderful opportunity for the teacher to arrive early and receive the pupils into his class!

We talked that first Sunday of the verse in John (1:12), "As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God." Every Sunday morning, we decided, was to be for each one a rededication to our loved teaching, to see nothing but the sons of God. We resolved to see nothing and to say nothing concerning ourselves or anyone else that we would not see or say of God. We also resolved that we would never forget we are Christian Scientists.
