EVIL'S CLAIMS ARE WORTHLESS AND UNREAL

God, infinite good, defined Himself as I AM to Moses when He said (Ex. 3:14), "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." By implication the correct definition of "evil," God's opposite, would be, "I am not." Thus evil would be self-defined as nothing, a self-contradiction. However, since the very nature of supposititious evil is to boast itself above good, evil claims to exist in place of God, the All-in-all.

Students of Christian Science are learning that the only power error has in the world today is the imaginary, negative power mortals give it by believing in it. False isms, resulting from depraved human will, ignorance, and superstition, are the self-imposed afflictions of fearful, idolatrous mortal mind. In Shakespeare's play "King Lear," Edgar explains the troubles which have come upon his father, saying,
