I shall never cease to be grateful for Christian Science. Several years ago my son was given up by materia medica because of a condition of osteomyelitis of the hip. After two operations were performed, I was told that the boy would probably not survive and that if he did, he would be a cripple.

At that time a friend who was a Christian Scientist came to the hospital to visit us. She recommended that I call a Christian Science practitioner. I knew nothing about this religion at all, but in desperation I called for help. Prayerful work was taken up, and the words of truth from the Bible and from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy encouraged me and gave me new hope. I was told in the words of the Bible (Matt. 19:26), "With God all things are possible."

Within a few hours there was an amazing improvement in the boy's condition, and those who witnessed it declared that a miracle had taken place. My son was later taken home, and Christian Science treatment was continued until the healing was complete. This experience proved to me the truth of these words in the Bible (Hebr. 4:12): "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
