I cannot express enough gratitude...

I cannot express enough gratitude for the benefits I have received through Christian Science. I suffered from rheumatism for eight years, and I went from doctor to doctor in search of a cure, but I constantly grew worse. I was finally told by a specialist that no medicine would help me and that I should go to Arizona or New Mexico to live, as the warm, dry climate might give me relief. This advice did not bring me comfort, as such a course would put me hundreds of miles from my family of married children. However, I made arrangements to go.

About that time my husband and I had to make a business trip of some two hundred miles. On this trip we were obliged to change trains, and we found that in doing so we had to wait two hours or more. While waiting, I decided to find something to read. I did not care for the newspapers or magazines at the counter; so I made my way to a rack where free Christian Science literature had been placed. Hen I found a copy of The Christian Science Journal.

I made my way back to my seat with much difficulty, and there I opened the most precious magazine that I had ever held in my hands. In its pages I found the pearl of great price, the message of divine healing. I accepted this message and drank in great draughts of spiritual good as a thirsty person who has found a spring of cool water drinks of it. I experienced a sense of peace which I will never forget, and I was instantaneously healed. I did not go to the warm climate to live or take any more medicine.
