"SEEK SAFETY IN DIVINE SCIENCE"

"Jesus demonstrated the inability of corporeality, as well as the infinite ability of Spirit, thus helping erring human sense to flee from its own convictions and seek safety in divine Science." These inspiring words from page 494 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, show clearly that safety is founded on spiritual truth, on the authority and supremacy of God, whose laws of harmony supersede all so-called laws of discord.

Christian Scientists are grateful for and aim at being obedient to government legislation which includes wise and helpful rules in regard to safety. They are not unmindful of human ingenuity, which seeks to provide protection in cases of atmospheric disturbances and destructive atomic and nuclear explosions and also to provide safety devices for high-speed locomotion machines. The alert thinker, however, realizes that more than ever before in the history of mankind there is a need for reliance on divine mandates, which alone prove themselves infallible in every emergency. Properly applied through the understanding of Truth, metaphysics assures safety where material means are all too often futile.

The earnest seeker for Truth finds in divine Science that man, the reflection or image of God, is forever included in Mind's perfect, harmonious realm. God's omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience, His ability to preserve His original creation with its perfection intact, renders the real man and universe invulnerable to the devastating and destructive suggestions of mortal mind.
